Ranch Story's Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma Review

Setting out to be a new take on the series, including new mechanics, setting, theming, and even a new director, Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma has a lot of questions to answer and, as the first entry for a new console generation, expectations to surpass. After my time with the game, I feel that while there are some rough edges, Guardians of Azuma is a thoroughly enjoyable breath of fresh air for the series.

This review was primarily played on Nintendo Switch, though some comparisons are made to other platforms.

A New World to See

From the outset, Guardians of Azuma sets itself apart from its predecessors in scope and theming. The Japanese-inspired fantasy setting feels fresh, and shortly after the start of the game you'll find that you're not just being confined to a single village and its immediate surroundings again. While not exactly an "open world," there's easily more places to explore than in any previous game in the series, literally and figuratively soaring above its predecessors. By the end of the game, it was easy to feel like Azuma as a setting was an interesting and well-realized setting, with plenty of its own lore and quirks to explore.

Azuma is undeniably a pretty place, with lots of nicely designed environments, set-pieces, and inhabitants in vibrant colors. With the characters being one of the strongest selling points of the game, it's nice that they not only look great, but many of them have their own distinct animations while idling and expressing themselves during cutscenes in a way that the static portraits of previous games in the series never managed to achieve.

Unfortunately, while the strong art style and use of colors helps bridge the gap, it's hard not to find the Nintendo Switch version specifically a little lacking compared to other platforms. There is frequent detail pop-in, with shadows and textures nearly constantly in flux somewhere on-screen while you're running around. This is an issue even during cutscenes at times, where it seems the level of detail can't keep up with the camera's movements; a great disservice to otherwise enjoyable event scenes.

Fortunately for those who don't have access to a PC or Nintendo Switch 2, the game still runs well overall. Loading times are relatively speedy, and the framerate doesn't have too many issues keeping up even when there are plenty of enemies, effects, or items on-screen. A very welcome and noticeable improvement when compared to Rune Factory 5.

Life in Azuma

One of the most drastic changes for players that are used to the typical farming sim fare will probably be that traditional farming isn't really a focus at all in Guardians of Azuma. Instead, as Village Chief, you'll largely be benefiting from your villagers managing farmland for you while you place buildings, decorations, and other resources. Designing your town is simple and intuitive, and each distinct addition, whether it's a new business or a cute little Lucky Cat statue, will provide an immediate benefit by increasing your stats and working towards the town's overall growth, unlocking new development zones along the way. It's a very different feeling system, but still a fun and rewarding one as you balance the needs of your villagers, maximizing your stat boosts, and just making something that you like looking at.

Villagers aren't always perfect though. Often, some negative traits get in the way, so you'll still need to go over their homework to keep the fields running if you're too soft-hearted to evict them. If everything's going smoothly, you'll be making more money than it costs to feed everyone while hardly ever lifting a finger. So long as everyone's happy, I'm sure they won't mind when you use the money they generate on crafting a shiny new bow instead of building more housing.

Speaking of a bow, it's one of the tools you'll always have on hand while exploring the more dangerous parts of Azuma, along with whatever you use as your main weapon and the Sacred Treasures you earn while progressing through the story. There's not as much weapon variety as in previous games, but none feel exceptionally stronger than the others, so it's nice to just use whatever feels best at the moment. Sacred Treasures also help provide some variety, allowing the use of other non-standard fighting styles such as punches and elemental magic attacks that can generally cut through any standard enemy so long as you have the RP to use them.

If you need any help, you can also recruit up to six monsters or characters you've bonded with to journey with you. Each one has their own specialty and some bring along skills the player doesn't have access to, like Hina's lasso-like Spell Seal for binding enemies in place. While exploring, characters will also sometimes talk among themselves, with some amusing interactions that might even hint at things you haven't really learned about them yet.

Forging those bonds can also be much more engaging than the standard farmsim fare of just giving everyone their favorite item every day, though that option is still available as well. While speaking with both potential love interests and the supporting cast, you can choose to hang out, which uses time as a resource to do various activities. Just like with giving gifts, each character has different things they like to do, with more options unlocking as you get closer and learn more about them. It's a much more natural way of getting to know someone, and several interactions don't just include cute little animations, but also some short dialog scenes, such as having a discussion over dinner or cuddling up while sharing an umbrella that's maybe a little too small for two people. It’s left me wanting this socialization dynamic for future Rune Factory games and wishing for it in past games - we’ll have to wait and see if it makes a reappearance.

One of the best qualities for how the characters are handled is probably just that almost everyone gets to participate in the overarching story to some degree. This review is aiming to generally be spoiler-free, but suffice to say that it's probably the most memorable and well executed story in the series and hovers around a minimum of 40 hours to complete if you still do a bit of farming and socializing between objectives.

Closing Thoughts

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma is a wonderful, unique entry in the series, and very possibly the best so far. While it does do a lot of things differently, the new ways to play are fun and show a lot of promise if they continue to take the series in this direction. Whether this is your first Rune Factory or you're a long-time fan, this is a must-play for fans of the genre.

Sorry I haven't been active! I've been simming but I'm making over Sim State University and just enjoying the process.

I've also spent time at my mum's next door because we got a horse! His name s Epona. I know it's a "feminine" name but who cares!

He's turning 4 soon and he's the sweetest thing! I was a bit afraid at first tbh but once I got over it and trusted him he trusted me back and let me pet him. He also put his head against my chest a few times and also gave a kiss on my cheek! I had no idea horses are so wonderful 🥹 We're also getting a pony as company for him. The pony isn't ours though, a woman pays for my mum to take care of it.

I love living here in the country. The only downside has been the wolves and possibility of burglars, like that one time someone opened our front door and our dogs reacted and in a second that person was gone. Probably never coming back here! We still only lock our door at night or the rare times no one is home. I'd prefer to keep the door locked all the time though. But anyway, the wolves were more active in winter, we could hear them howling at night. Today was the first time in months we heard howling. It's scary because they could be interested in Epona. We keep a watchful eye on him though.

Apart from that the only change is that I'm back in therapy. I've had two phone calls now. We're focusing on emotions before we start tackling my trauma. Turns out I have what my psychologist calls "emotion-phobia". My brain basically has come up with this protective mechanism that stops me from feeling triggering emotions to prevent a panic attack from happening. It's mostly because I used to get abused if I showed emotion. I learned to keep myself safe. It's not emotional regulation, it's suppression and avoidance. It keeps me safe but it also stops me from feeling like I used to and stops me from dealing with my trauma. Another reason this emotional suppression happens is because if I feel strong emotions and start crying it usually start a domino effect of having a panic attack which leads to possible self harm and even suicidal ideation. Strong negative feelings and crying is scary to me because of this.

We're going to start working on how to safely start feeling things. There's a lot to it and it's gonna take time. My "homework" is now to keep a journal where I record my emotions. This teaches me to pay attention to my feelings and recognise and analyse them.

I'm so glad I have such a great psychologist. She's kind and intelligent and supportive and understanding. She never judges me. I've been able to really open up and trust a professional for the first time. Took nearly 10 years to get actual help. I'm so glad it's finally possible.

Anyway, that's all. I'm doing pretty good. I do have some physical health issues that make me anxious and scared but I'm working on finding the courage to get help.

Wanted to post more about this AU since it’s been on my mind for a bit, so here’s some info about the Daycare Attendants along with their work attire. Apologies for it this comes off as word vomit

Base Info: This au takes place after the events of Security Breach with the events of the Ruin DLC (mainly Bonnie and the Mimic) occurring months after the pizzaplex’s reconstruction in this au. Henry Emily doesn’t die in Pizza Sim and later (around his 70s) becomes the CEO of FazBear during the reconstruction of the pizzaplex. The virus upped the affected animatronics worse tendencies to 11 (Roxy’s confidence = narcissism, Monty’s anger = “punch first, ask never”, etc.)

Design: Not sure why, but when I saw Fizzarolli from Helluva Boss, his limbs were what I constantly imagined Sun and Moon having so they do. Sun has more rays to help flesh out his head while Moon has a longer night cap, because it looked nice. Both have moveable face plates however Moon’s expressions are more limited due to being nap time. I’ve seen people write about Sun and Moon having a chest cavity but never seen one explained or in a design, so it’s a bit more obvious that they have one. Moon’s chest cavity usually holds glow-in-the-dark moon and star stickers that are used during nap time and the cavity can switch out to a speaker where Moon can play music from. Sun also has a chest cavity (look at previous post about this au) which has six “drawers” allowing him to hold more items. Moon has both the wire cable and a floating mechanism while Sun just has the wire. It also may be harder to tell with my art but Moon is smaller than Sun. Sun has more bells than Moon due to his role as playtime, Moon has less because she doesn’t want to accidentally wake up the kids. Both attendants have wardrobes and have multiple outfits they can wear around kids. Moon’s face is more feminine due to some parents complaining about no female attendant in the daycare, so when Sun and Moon got a redesign, Moon’s face leaned more feminine while Sun’s leaned more masculine.

Sun: The older of the two. Sun had been affected with the virus, though it only made him more hyper and unhinged as he would accidentally bruised kids without knowing due to playing a bit too rough. After the virus was purged, Sun was a bit more mellowed out though he still will move around. Sun mostly deals with kids from preschool age to early middle school (6th grade specifically). Sun uses he/him pronouns and can get excited easily. Sun stands at 6’2. Sun’s outfit is more breathable and more active or sporty while still looking like a jester.

Moon: The younger of the two. Originally a last minute addition to the Daycare. Moon was fully affected by the virus, merging their security and nap time protocols together making her more irritable and hand out punishments more. After the virus was purged, Moon was more chill and calm like before the virus though his security protocols got upgraded to be on a timed schedule. Moon usually deals with slightly older kids from middle school to high school (7th to 12th) and will usually help kids with homework. Moon uses any and all pronouns (he/she/they) and despite being an introvert, loves hanging out with the children of the daycare. Moon stands at 5’10. Moon’s outfit is more poofy and soft to look more friendly.

Hopefully my ramblings are understandable, but also explain both the au slightly and some creative liberties I took when designing these two. I have more ideas that I’m more than happy to share

Zombies in a medieval town, Part 3

So while the husband's up to no good, what is of the wife and child you say?

Weeeeell. First of all, I forgot this absolutely lovely feature of this game: CANT YOU SEE I AM NOT IN A MOOD?!

Sims' mood actually matters. Imagine, TS4, just imagine. The one mod I found saving me from a literal headache is "Stop screaming at me" by Squinge. Gold.

I'll just show you some snapshots from the life of the Wife in no particular order (Emily and Josh, I think the names were, and the kid's Nate, but it doesn't matter).

Here she is cooking some "shrimps" (made from cheaply bought grain and collected berries, idk who she think she's fooling). The "shrimps" are already stinky, because she was going to cook, but got busy hunting the vermin that keeps stealing our food - rats, rabbits, seagulls, and left it for too long on the counter. Later it also got lit on fire. And because the lifespan is huge, her skills are nerfed and crawling, and she will not improve unless she actually studies, which she has no time to do.

Here she is coughing her lungs out after finishing showering from a pot in the back yard, as she's sick with pneumonia. Sounding absolutely near death tbh.

Here she is waking up from a nightmare - it's such a quick interruption, that I barely caught it. She does have them practically every night though.

If you're wondering, who is also sleeping there - that will be the kid. The stray dog that we adopted destroyed both beds several times. Now the dog got stuck at her job. Idk, she just doesn't want to come back, and frankly that's a relief.

Here the wife has collapsed on the floor from exhaustion and the kid is laughing! Which is both disturbing and really nice to see. An actual reaction! He did roll 0 points at being Nice.

The kid loves to read and helps with the garden by himself - seriously, I barely control him, I am trying to keep his mother standing. But he is really bad at homework.

His dad's a zombie, mom's passing out in her own piss, and he really doesn't get math. If I didn't have mods disabling social workers, he'd be long gone already. Thankfully, the school feeds him at least.

Two consecutive cows have gotten sick from standing in their own shit all day. Idk. Not buying new ones for a while.

There is so much to figure out about all of the added mechanics of various survival mods. Mostly it's Sun&Moon, and they are really good, but also really hard and not very intuitive. Still no idea how to do laundry, and it's winter already. I would say that these mods come very close to the TS4 animal farm experience: better in some ways, worse in others. They could use more animations and more in-game explanations for dummies like me. The level of detail however is most satisfying. I figured out how to light the candles - yay!

But what about the zombies?

One time the wife was spraying the rabbit in the front yard (with some green poison thing) and started loudly chastising the bastard as he slowly walked away behaving like a proper Romero's character. While still holding that damn newspaper.

Stranger Than Fiction (The unfinished Autobiography)

Growing up was fine; I've always had this pit of anxiety in my stomach that I would always be worthless.

A mix of growing up poor with an undereducated and dysfunctional family; we were the definition of Trailer Trash.

I always wanted to be helpful and to work towards a goal that mattered. And I love the internet, technology, and Video Games.

Thanks to the "No Child Left Behind" act, I made it to Graduation. While all my teachers assumed I cheated on my Exams ... Because when did I have the time to study if I never did my homework and spent all my time playing Video Games.

Classes were boring; the same classes over and over and over again.

And my friends were... oK; but I always felt alienated and never could figure out why.

So I stayed in my room a lot; and played video games and studied the things I actually wanted to; like software and tech support.

Turns out; studying what I want worked better than anything the teachers could do in effort to teach me. Anything from Art to Music to Software Programming (which they didn't even want to let me do because I wasn't good at math. Programming taught me math.)

My parents afforded to Purchase 2000$ gaming PC my mother Frequently used to play the Sims while I would get on whenever I could manage and she wasn't playing.

I'm greatful for that.

I worked at Taco Bell for a few years before being unable to afford College or the attention span to keep a Job in Web Development. It was an Indie job anyway; my employer couldn't afford to keep me on.

So I joined the Air Force at the prompting of one my highschool friends who didn't want to Join alone. I ended up becoming an Aircraft Mechanic and Electrician on the B-1; with a Top Secret clearance I didn't need.

I never told anybody until I left the military; my coworkers thought I was lie-bragging. Mostly because I scored one of the highest scores on the ASVAB yet... Was placed in a Career field that required much much lower.

And here's something I only learned recently; I *was* the [Top Secret] that's why I needed the clearance. They fudged the numbers on my software scores on purpose to put me near the B-1s.

Only a certain Security Manager knew the truth.

The reason I needed to be Top Secret was *because* of my Online records. They believed I was either a Hacker or could become one; but what they needed was Intelligent maintenance professionals on the B1 specifically.

Because despite it being a "Lower Qualification" job; The electricians on the B1 sucked at fixing the B1. They were excellent everywhere else except the B1.

It was a Security Risk to put me so close to the [Top Secret] knowing my background and skill; but the value was to great to the mission.

I performed so well, that I *was* one of a handful of maintainers who actually managed to pull the Squadron up to be one of the Top Performers anywhere in the Air Force.

They Say [Group Performance] on those medals, Because I was part of the Best. And here's the Secret; I didn't get anymore *because* They *were* MY medals.

It wasn't until much later when we were permitted to wear fewer medals than every single one; and a certain... Commander... Who was upset at me saw this "Baby Face Staff Sergeant" Complaining about *My* Disability Rating when there was a PERSON IN A WHEEL CHAIR WHO COULDN'T WALK WITH A LOWER DISABILITY RATING LOWER THAN MINE working for him.

Except he remembered my Three Ribbons. Two BS medals everyone gets....and one with more "Clusters" on it than anyone else has ever had on that ribbon.

Because that *was* my accomplishment.

This stuck with him.

Back in Time to the B-1s; I was so good at my Job and So Valuable according to Heuristics and Lengthy investigations that even though my leadership kept pilling paperwork and LoCs (never LoRs) don't worry about those acronyms. They're a military thing.

And their leadership was calling *them* idiots.

Why? My Ribbon rack told a story nobody bothered to read; because they were constantly reading my EPRS.

During this I had started playing FFXIV, and was building websites in my free time and coding random frameworks. Because I wasn't allowed to go to college to study it because I hadn't finished my Associates in Electrical work.

Let's say I had a reputation. But at the level I played video games at; Everyone had a reputation; they just weren't self-aware.

On my drives to work I would sing, back and forth, everyday. I liked singing. I liked music. But my Job has priority and my side-hustles took precedence.

It was at this time some Assholes started Doxing me. Turns out; some sponsored channels started stealing my streams.

Ooo the Greed. Came to bite you in the ass didn't it?

I was competing on the Same Level as paid Streamers and Sponsored players; and wow they didn't like me.

But that ire was a double-edged sword wasn't it? You lost viewer because they lost faith in you, and were sick of the Toxicity.

So, What would any *Good* Yoshi-P-Sensei do? Issued takedowns of your content, but never mine.

Ooo that made them so angry.

So angry they Tried to issue a takedown of my singular video where I played "The Man Who Sold the World" as a challenge to my brother... The better guitarist of the two of us.

How Ironic. Remember; I don't watch streams of gamers because I get Jealous. I might watch them to learn a mechanic I'm having trouble with; but not more than that.

They recruited a few friends accounts to harass me, Disband several FCs, and then tried to do it again, and again, and again... And ensured everybody wanted nothing to do with me.

But you know what? The ignored Casuals in the Party Finder didn't know that until somebody told them. And by then it was too late; They all knew how skilled I was as I carried team after team after team after team across the finish line, while the "Good Players" would only insult them.

During my rise to Fame I was wholesale unaware of, because; you know; FIGHTING FOR YOUR FREEDOM TO DOX ME, YOU ASSHATS.

I was involved in an incident overseas. Remember; I'm the GOAT maintenance guy too. And my coworkers thought very little of me. They sent 3 people to augment us, because I went to the Mental Health Clinic complaining about burnout.

Our team felt insulted. Because we were keeping up. But why were we keeping up?

Every little thing I did was heavily scrutinized, and they came to the same conclusion the higher ups did; The ONLY reason these Planes are even in the Air is because SSgt Hicks is here.

I wasn't aware of that as my Facebook feeds started showing the news of a Hospital manned by Doctors without borders overseas that got bombed.

...I was the reason these Plane's were flying...

This feed targeted me. I think it was intentional. On Facebook I got a lot of "Go back home!" Which bled into the American Facebook Media, and caused a firestorm of racist assumptions.

Now I was public enemy number one. Thanks to the Doxing, The attention, The Hate, The Death Threats, Fucking Trumpets. And now hate from those I was protecting.

My mental health deteriorated greatly. This is when the GERD and throwing up started. When my Arthritis started.

When My Stomache Cancer started [Citation Needed]

The doctors Told me I had Anklyosing Spondylitis, and I was effectively going to turn into the next Stephen Hawkins... And not in the good way... But hey; maybe the good way too.

I deleted Facebook. Everybody I knew assumed I blocked them; every single person I knew thought I blocked them because of the previous Doxing.

Nobody cared that I disappeared. Except Two visits... Which I can't prove was because they actually cared about seeing me.

I only had my raid group left. And a player I admired but never really spoke with. We would simply stare at each other. Hoping that something could change that we could meet.

She couldn't approach me, she was Famous in her home country, and just being seen with me would've destroyed her career. Something she had thought was over when she was younger and had built from scratch.

We were both miserable.

I knew that other players didn't really like me, but I always had great success in the Party Finder. Not without assholes jumping in to fail-troll.

Until I started giving all the other "casual" players instructions with the same energy as a "Bored Tour Guide".

And then; they started protecting me from my reputation.

But that was the end;

The Ire got really bad when My raid groups got doxed AF. Some players even started to assume the Doxing started when I was kicked out of the Group. Players who had non-competitive-streams caught A LOT of flack. They had nearly lost their house and something had to go, The Stress or their Lives. I do t blame them..but shit; give me a God damn heads-up.

After they removed me the Doxing shifted back to me and only me. And they were frustrated, they thought they were playing games with hackers I had hired, they always think I'm stupid rich despite them using the same services which stole our money.

They were playing games with the NSA, CIA, FBI, and ATF. Ooo boy.

Please remember; I wasn't cognizant of all this until Some asshole hired not one, but two hit-men against me. And those are just the ones I know of *so far*.

What a waste of your viewers donations. Fucking assholes.

The witness protection Program unofficially started when I was hired to the software development squadron in Utah.

How wonderful; I seem to meet exactly all the requirements for this position and they seem excited to have me!

And this is how we got hired. They laid the bait and we took it. Like we ALWAYS DO.

We're a group of the smartest dumbasses.

But that wasn't the end of it or I wouldn't be here.

Some asshat stole a bag of camera equipment from our Squadron and dumped it on base. Causing a bomb Threat, and equipment recovery.

Is Melin a Terrorist? Why does she have Top Secret Clearance despite never needing it? Why won't leadership do anything about it?

Because Melin is the reason we have [Top Performer] ribbons. Melin is always the reason.

That's what they tell me anyway; I still don't believe it.

Who the fuck took a bag of cameras to dump it in a road?

And then; Somebody dropped a Bag with an AirTag in it in front of my apartment. I looked at it; and my training told me; Either this is an IED and this is where I die, or it just belongs to some dumbass Airman.

The cops were called to investigate my apartment. It was an EPIC FAIL of a frame job; when the Bag magically showed up outside my apartment with me still in it.

It was about this time Jon Stewart got an apartment behind me, Blasted music, Smoked WAY TOO MUCH WEED, and asked me about the burgeoning Civil War most news hosts thought was a joke ABOUT a Marvel Movie they were getting over on "Dumb Conservatives".

Ah weren't we all surprised.

Anyway; I feel like he was the cover for this observation activity. Either they were gonna catch me doing some shit, harass me into doing some shit, or find out why this shit keeps happening.

But I kept Teaching Casuals. I cleared better with Casuals. Always. Because they ABP (Always Be Practicing)

My raid groups always got mentally annihilated into not being able to play.

I didn't realize it was my fault.

Playing with Casuals and continually swapping groups did two things for me. Proved I could clear ANY GROUP IN PARTY FINDER. AND ruined the careers of many a troll streamer trying to get them easy bucks.

Oh. But it was *My* fault wasn't it?

Dave Chappelle's latest special aired on Netflix. His career nearly ruined when he was run out of Comedy Central for asking for what he was owed.

And it was *One* voice on Netflix who kindly left a comment that was different from all the 5-Star ratings the TV show with his name on it.

Now I didn't know where this came from, but It wasn't the first time I spotted a conveniently targeted video... I assumed it was my asshole of a neighbor who was getting evicted for having a Fog Machine of Weed in his apartment apparently.

Somebody so clumsy would get canceled soon enough right? RIGHT? WHAT THE FUCK IS CANCEL CULTURE FOR IF ITS NOT TARGETING PEOPLE WHO REALLY DESERVE IT?

Turns out it was a set-up. The AF evicted me under my own volition by giving me twelve different reasons to leave. I was left on my own as the three-letter-agencies took over.

Was Melin a terrorist? Or was it something else?

I'm writing this, and they've told me; "No dude, you saved yourself." We just watched and you gave us the Ammo AFTER YOUR LIFE WAS ALREADY IN DANGER.

During COVID I started Playing PSO2 instead because I ALWAYS WANTED TO AND GODDAMN THE MEMES WERE SO CRONCHY.

And it's here where I really proved who I am. Because I was in PSO2, encouraging players to socialize, discussing strategy, just not being a dick, we [Crescent Moon] completely took over the first server.

It was ours. We cleared content that JP players couldn't clear on release, and we did it with such regularity, that we put the Sponsored teams to shame. We were so Good, that SEGA INCREASED THE DIFFICULTY.

And it wasn't enough. We demolished their expectations that they had no choice but to release content they weren't otherwise going to release.

We even cleared content no other players had cleared before or after.

Our players knew that if they were gonna clear; they needed to play with CM.... But that same ire started appearing again. People being kicked for petty reasons, insularity. Because nobody could compete with us.

I ensured our Guildies got their runs in the Emergency Raids. I went back to Casual Play, it sucked... Until it didn't.

I never figured it out. Sega Executives tell me it's because I took the time to play with the "Filthy Casuals". I made friends with a lot of people I would have never been able to meet IRL, and I got Trump's Account Banned. Victory.

CM split in two, many players followed the other Group. We were suffering from our own success because we all became such good friends with all the players even those who weren't in our guild.

And that frequent cycling of friend groups for silly reasons hurts one's mental health.

And then NGS came out and I left the Military.

And was subsequently fed to the wolves. As they systematically destroyed my life. Harassed my family who had nothing. Tried to hire a Hitman who was Ironically; Intercepted by Mr. Beast.

Fuck that Guy. He doesn't need anymore hot air in his fat head. I'm sure he's used to comments like those.

I didn't know who he was as I read an entry about him in a business book online.

And then I started playing Single Player Games and PSO2 as my IRL friend harassed me about playing video games while doing all the rest of my shit.

Why does this pattern keep happening? It must be me right?

Her boyfriend and another friend watched me Play Monster Hunter for a bit with them, while she had mouthed me behind my back. Then she blamed me for her break up.

I kept streaming. I linked my socials to my friends in PSO2 and left the server. I left every server. Because something was wrong, But I couldn't figure it out. Was it me? Do I deserve to be alone?

My Wife lost me again when I stopped playing PSO2 and FFXIV to focus on my studies and my stream. And then... A link. Where she could learn everything she ever wanted about me. My old deviantArt account, my old crushes, everything that had been lost to her in the "Big Delete" that seems to happen quite frequently with me. Why is this she wonders.... She might be terrible at FFXIV but this is a bit much?

Except... Maybe she's not bad at all? Were other players just saying that she bought the gear she earned in Party Finder because *nobody* clears in Party Finder.... Except for two players.

That must've been a weird cognitive dissonance to learn that people actually cleared in Party Finder without "Permission from the Elitist TROLLS"

At my current age, I know 3 things about myself for sure: I can't dwell on anything (especially before bed), I can't have plums and beets, and I never follow the first two prohibitions. Because of the abundance of thoughts about Paralives, last night I dreamed that I was an intern at PS.

The first thing I remember is that I was introduced to the development team, an analyst, and a tester. And then the team leader asked how I did my "homework" on getting to know the project. I said that I was interested in the fact that they decided to make a mechanic where individual light bulbs in lighting fixtures can burn out and parafolk can buy a separate, suitable light bulb for some objects and screw it in. ATTENTION: I doubt that this will be implemented in the game - it was only part of my dream. And then I asked, if we deepen the home gameplay towards realistic household chores, then can we find out how the mechanism of breakdown and the mechanism of clogging of plumbing is implemented, including sinks/baths/washing machines/boilers, and not just toilets, because a clog is not just a leaky flush tank.

There was an awkward pause and I continued asking questions in an attempt to ease the tension. "Will the game implement a system of water pipes and drainage, which would limit the placement of plumbing?", "Will we create an electrical circuit for the house, where all energy consumers should be taken into account, including sockets and light switches?", "What kind of heating will be preferable in the land of parafolk: radiators, convectors, air conditioners or a warm sweat system?", "Will sources of cold and heat in the house be taken into account, such as tiled floors, doors to the street and a chimney of a fireplace on the upper floors?", "What is the maximum length of a floor in the game and will it be possible to create a panel, frame, brick, monolithic reinforced concrete house and a house-hybrid of construction technologies?" I also asked a bunch of questions that I have already forgotten.

Everyone was looking at me. And then my boss said, "You know, we haven't even thought about this until now. Your first task is to formulate a concept and create a prototype for our focus group and testing of this idea this week." I was very surprised by this deadline. Considering that 1 of these 5 days was already coming to an end, I was assured that this time was more than enough and, as soon as I got the hang of the project, I would be able to do all this in 24 hours.

Then there was a typical "strange work day" in a dream, where it turned out that the junior programmer assigned to me to help with the implementation turned out to be a goose. I mean, he was not anthropomorphic, but a real live, white goose (and, if you look at it from another point of view, he was a really talented programmer, capable of writing code according to my idiotic technical task). As is customary in any dreams, the only thing that confused me was that his name was Steve (this name is associated with very difficult to communicate with people, like Jobs and cases from my experience, but Steve-goose was not only a competent employee, but also a pleasant person).

Somewhere on the 4th day of my work and hard crunch on studying the sewerage system of an American private house together with a goose, I began to sleep right at the meeting. My boss noticed this and asked me if I thought our parafolk personality profile system, which was a complete homage to the Sims 2 character system, was boring. I said that the OCEAN system was good, of course, but I would add to these 5 traits the missing traits from the HEXACO system (and added some other traits that I came up with at that moment, which brought their number to 9), and also returned the Yunk typology, but would make it not a "zodiac sign", but a lifestyle, and also added that very "passion for some activity" from the Hobbies DLC. At that moment, I forgot about fetishes and taboos (as always in a dream).

The team leader loved the idea, but everyone else sighed heavily. He crossed out all his old notes on the wall and started drawing everything again. Steve, sitting next to me at the daily, stretched out his long neck and whispered that this person was both the project's best hope for getting out of beta and the local Elon Musk. And we could get a lot of interesting multi-layered systems with intrapersonal conflicts of parafolk, like real people. For example, a person who dreams of becoming a superstar (because his mother wanted him to), but is afraid of the stage. And that this would give more replayability with a small amount of starting content for stories: a phobia could arise during the game due to the player's actions, due to being in society with parafolk with this phobia, be hidden from the player (the character knows about his fear), hidden from both the player and the character (latency period). I was asked to list the options:

Thalassophobia - (homage to Sims 2);

Cynophobia (dogs);

Nyctophobia (darkness);

Acrophobia (heights);

Verminophobia (bacteria)

Claustrophobia and Agarophobia (closed and open spaces);

I named half a dozen more phobias that I could remember, including trypophobia. And then I came up with the concept that we need to make a family of pre-mades, where the only toddler will have absolutely all the realized phobias, which will constantly exhaust his parents, but at the same time this same child will heroically save his family, neighbors and acquaintances from dangers and be a "reinsurer hen". This impressed everyone. Especially my boss. … He said that I have 3 days to give them a finished sample so that they can decide whether to do it. I said that I can't. To which the boss assured me that it's okay, because I can do it on the weekend. Steve, who had previously been kind to me, said that he could only help with the mechanics of the house, and this task was beyond his strength.

It seems that this is where my career in game development ended, because I don't remember much after that. But I do remember that I woke up thinking, "I slept through my alarm! Steve now has to defend me in front of everyone else! We'll get fired! We don't have time for anything!" Maybe it's for the best that I didn't pursue a career in the game industry - this world already has enough Peter Molyneux.

Well, making toys costs money. Danny and Sarah did their best to help him with the dog breeding but he never had time to befriend a mate for Porthos (buy a dog? Are you crazy?). Farming is not very lucrative when you've got to eat part of your harvest and the growing season is so short, Riverblossom Hills being Winter/Spring/Fall/Winter and greenhouses not being cheap. Biology beats brains and he and his wife LaShawn don't have the education for effective birth control, but dating is such a sure way to cheer themselves up...

Rather than add risky woohoo when I'm only going to want it for some neighborhoods, I have a 20-sided die and sliding odds on whether or not to try for baby. If a parent has a baby want, I just try. If at least half a couple is educated and they have access and privacy to use mechanical devices like rubbers and diaphragms, they try for baby on a roll of 20. The odds might change for married couples with no reason to be reluctant to have a baby, such as poverty or a baby fear or a wife with career ambitions that strike me as feasible. month 1, week 1, day 4

today was my longest workday of the week. the way my work schedule is currently set up is from 9 am - 12 pm, my students are in class. then the remaining 3 hours of my workday, i use as personal time to do homework or just work on personal projects i can make look like i'm doing work. on wednesdays though, i have a class from 9 am - 12 pm, and then my lunch hour, then from 1 pm - 3 pm i have another class that i assist with. wednesdays are busy, and i am usually a little more tired after the work day is done, but i push through and make it work. i am resilient. i'm extra proud of myself because i got my workday done, did my usual chores that i do after work, did 3 college assignments (3 more to go + a quiz tomorrow and on friday), went to the gym, and now i am rewarding myself with sims videos. my body is tired, but i feel wonderful. i'm looking forward to my parents being gone this weekend, i have the house to myself on friday. i already know how i'm going to celebrate. celebrate is maybe a strong word, but i'm excited for weekends, especially now that i have a cute little ritual that i do with myself. i get my favorite fast food place for dinner (if i've got the money i go to a local thai food place, but this week i've gotta save a *little* money) and then i get high enough that my autistic traits show, and i don't feel shame about it. it's strangely healing, and gives me a big mental reset. plus it helps me unmask for a few hours. overall, it's a fun coping mechanism for me. is it my best or healthiest coping mechanism? probably not, but it does make me happy.

Raven College, a prestigious school that those from all walks of life attend to grow, learn, and become the person who wishes to be. It's a new semester and young students walk the campus grounds to explore their new surroundings. Melanie Charment is one such freshman who, admittedly got a little lost. She's not used to being away from home and especially in a place that's much larger then life. She's from a low-class family who scraped and saved to get her into college. Working hard is something she does naturally so of course she's going to study and learn and make her family proud. But college life.......is stressful when you don't know what you want to do with your life. And expensive. Very expensive. So she does the best possible thing to take up any and every job she can. She needs to survive school, juggle her hours, make friends, work her ass off and maybe.....just maybe, find her fairy-tale love.

💖 Part dating sim, part time management. You have to manage job hours and free time while making sure you can do your homework and showing up to class. Sure you can skip class and try to coast your way into getting a hottie but be prepare for an early bad ending. Ya gotta be smart. Gotta play your cards right. Doing your jobs and talking means friendships, which turns to attraction which turns to romance.

💖 You also need to build Mel up which means heading to classes and the library to study, that increases your wisdom. Doing afterschool events like cheer-leading and going to various spots in town (skate park, museum, model agency, etc) increases confidence. Lastly hanging out with your friends Kirsten, Lucille, James and Nala increases your charisma (as well as unlock side stories with certain s/o's if you hang with the right friend at the right time)

💖 In addition to all of the jobs you're doing, you're also making coin. You can then spend the money on gifts for your crushes to increase their affection. Of course they have favorites and least favorites so watch yourself. You can also spend money on your dorm room, making it ✨fancy✨.

Kierron - A sophomore who's known for getting into fights. He works out at the local gym where Mel works as a attendant, often treating her like a lackey. There's something about him, something he's trying to keep to himself.

Erza - Sophomore of Dawn Dove college, the rival to Night Raven. He's a genius and one of Brick's closest friend. Mel and him meet each other through her attempted least favorite job, being a receptionist at the local morgue.

Fraiser - One of the most popular boys in college and a bully. When Mel takes the job of apprentice mechanic to gain experience/variety they're made to get along. Tends to shift the work load onto her so he can hang with his biker gang.

Octavius - The eccentric and rather kooky son of the wealthy Siphon family. He attends the same school as Erza but he hires Melanie to be one of his maids. However he treats her like a close friend.

Micah - A seemingly holy man that's almost always at the church, earning the nickname of Mother. Melanie meets him when she works as a janitor. There's an air of serenity but few are willing to cross him.....

Vladimir - One of the boys in Mel's dormitory and someone she befriended early on. He runs a popular fashion blog that she offers helps via modeling. When the work gets too much for her he's always there to cheer her back up.

Miko - A mysterious man, who's dealings are made in the shadows and possibly in blood. When he wishes to unwind he frequents the luxurious Crescent Moon lounge and restaurant where Mel takes the job of bartender on night shifts. He's definitely someone you don't take to run into at night.

Kakia - A lady Mel slightly knows but they only know each other through Kierron. While looking at the work she thinks Mel is trying to steal Kie's attention even when that isn't the case at all. Thus starting a one-sideded rivalry.....or not?

Song Fenhua - Seemingly a friend of Kierron more it feels like a boss and underling. He works at the laboratory as an assistant for health research while she's a lab technician. He thinks she's way in over her head taking all these careers but leaves her be.

Emile - Another friend or underling of Kierron and he certainly doesn't get along with Song Fenhua. He takes a position in the morgue alongside Erza and they seem to get along swimmingly. Very quiet but is pleasant to be around.

A'rachk - A foreign student that speaks like he's part of a hivemind but he seems interesting. They meet with Melanie takes a job at the laboratory as a general assistant so she's paired with him for his entomologly. Just don't let him be around Kierron or else things will get messy.

Jupiter - Down to earth Bassist for the punk band Lockdown, after Mel was dragged to one of their concerts the frontman Alto hires her on the spot to be the band's planner and designer. He tends to hang out in town's more nature-y parts so she's bound to run into him.

Brick - A sweet boy, polite man who sees her around school. Him and Melanie are in similar classes and he works as a chef to a local sushi restaurant. She ends up as one of the waitresses.

Jirou - Another guy Mel befriended on campus, his family runs the local bakery and after a few visits she's hired to work as delivery girl and part time baker. He's extremely kind and tends to help her out with school work along with Brick.

Misha - Yet another boy Melanie knows from campus. A skater boi who does sell sports clothes but he forgets constantly. She sees him a lot at the gym but he ends up hiring her as one of his models...although he forgets to pay her sometimes.

Citron - The super sweet co-worker of the local plant nursery. She takes a job there and the two are fast friends. He's extremely thoughtful but his bleeding heart tend to get him into trouble.

Lucifer - A model Mel works with at the same agency that specializes in gothic looks. He's popular on Twitter and Insta but is kind of an ass. It's also known that he works in the adult industry though he doesn't seem to care about the bad rumors.

Maurice - A friend of Vladimir also running a popular fashion brand. Melanie becomes his muse and they start working together. He's a heartthrob around campus but he doesn't seem to mind the advances.

Dusk - A popular model that frequents the cute little cafe Mel baristas at. Him and Maurice and acquaintances in the fashion world. Tends to keep to himself but will make a sarcastic quip or two.

Solomon - Another bully on campus. He's a solo artist by the name of Corrosion, occasionally models along with Mel but they're more often to run into each other at the gym. They.......don't get along well.

Michi - One of the maids at the cafe Mel works very closely with. A sweet guy with monstrous strength able to probably lift the place itself but he's also fucking stupid. Overally a goody good boy.

Langley - Another sushi chef but he's more quiet and more..........odd. He's narcissistic, skittish and seems to really really love fire. He's a great cook but something's off, very odd.

Candice - The wealthy and seductive milf with his five year son Sylvian. He hires Melanie to babysit while he works in......adult situations. (he also owns a franchise of tattoo/body modification parlors) Currently in an on again, off again relationship with his husband.

Ruben - Candice's husband who runs a popular toy company but his marriage has been on the rocks. He's ready for divorce but only stays for sex and Sylvie. He's interested in Mel but a relationship now would be very messy.

Niko - Another one of the Mel's coworkers at the cafe, also a model that's "besties" with Lucifer. He's........not bright, possibly even dumber then Michi. But he's cute and loves cats so that's all that matters.

Arsene - One of the biggest name's in the rap/pop industry. Kirsten's a fan of him and somehow (blackmail) got vip tickets to see him. After the show Mel somehow got his phone number????

Pine Lake Farewell: Swain

Stella kept her mechanic’s shop, especially after hiring Ginger Newson and realizing the girl showed promise and desperately needed a mentor. Under her patient teaching, Ginger flourished and found peace from her many anxieties in the garage. Stella eventually passed on the shop to her apprentice and retired fully to maximize her right to spoil her grandchildren. But she did still drop in to tinker with the odd engine now and then.

Leif and Natasha divorced with shared custody of the two kids. (While Natasha never formally adopted Erika, Leif had allowed her legal guardianship.) They agreed to remain friends and, though they never really were, did manage to keep a civil relationship between them.

Natasha quit the school system to focus on her art full-time. She never made much money at it, but the alimony kept her from going bankrupt, and well supplied in fine cheeses.

Leif focused on his farm and, thanks to a literal green thumb, was highly productive in it. He did try dating again, but found he was too busy for a serious relationship. Even with a Plantsim daughter to help out full time, a farmer’s work is never done.

Erika had a tough go of high school due to her incredible shyness and reluctance to put more than three words together, which the other teens often interpreted as snobbishness. She did not go to university, preferring to stay home on the farm. In fact, if not for her best friend, Emerald, forcing her to go out once in a while, she’d probably live quite happily has a lonely hermit.

Jeremy also had trouble in school, but it was because of his incessant pranking and frequent trips to the principal’s office with his best friend and partner in crime, Garrett Newson. His only motivation for doing his homework was the threat of being excluded from the weekly video game tournaments with his dad, and occasionally his super cool aunt...who sometimes would bring a sneak peek of a new game.

Freyja and Jonah stayed in the city to focus on their careers. Freyja works quite high up in an indie video game company, and though the work probably outweighs the salary, she loves every minute of it. Jonah sold his coffee shop when they first moved and now operates a local brewery on the border of the bohemian and gearhead sections of the city. It’s equally popular with both social classes, and even a few prominent socialites have been spotted there now and then. They adopted a small dog and are happy to be simply aunt and uncle for the time being.

Thor and his university sweetheart, Ivy Copur, married immediately after graduation. Ivy took a job at the hospital, while Thor ran the sound system at his brother-in-law's coffee shop for a while. But after their first child was born, he quit to become a full-time dad...which was good, because they soon had enough children to keep his Family Sim heart happy. He does occasionally make house calls to tune pianos, however.

I rolled a really interesting ROS for the Croix family: What a way to make a living! Apparently Boniface Croix is a “side piece” of the richest sim in town... and as he’s a Noble, I figured it would have to be the Romance aspiration Queen. That’s not really what the ROS tells you to do, but I decided to just move the Queen in with him because I don’t want to play the Castle yet and the Queen could age a bit to better fit the ages of her teen offspring.

This ROS implies that the other sim covers Boniface’s needs, but since it’s the Queen that’s moving I feel like her needs should be met first of all. Also, Boniface is a Fortune sim and he’ll keep working, while also serving his Queen. Boniface is already the last sim in this house, safe for his 2 toddlers. His mom is “insane” in the nunnery, so nobody should care about the Queen visiting the Croix residence. Also, this house is right across the street from the Castle, so it probably makes sense that it’s a Queen’s lover’s apartment.

The Queen will never marry Boniface (she fears it). She already has 3 children who were made in CAS. I am assuming she probably is past her child bearing days, but we will see. If they had kids, they would only be considered “bastards”. They’d not be a part of the Royal Family. I didn’t even expect the Queen to have relationships, I only wanted her children to get married... Anyway, this will be the first interaction the Royal Family have with anyone, besides their Royal Steward. Maybe this connection can ensure one of Boniface’s children will get to marry into the Royal Family? But I wouldn’t do that, if Boniface had kids with her...

I didn’t make the Queen do anything to help the toddlers with their skills, but she was in the house with them, just loitering around when Boniface was at his daily job. Unfortunately, Boniface didn’t manage to teach his toddlers everything.

The toddlers started this round in terrible moods because some family member’s grave had been moved to the Graveyard the previous round. They managed to get out of aspiration failure fairly quickly, because they had wants to gain some skill points. Boniface managed to teach them both how to use the potty. His son learnt to talk and his daughter learnt to walk, but each only learnt 2/3 skills and they didn’t learn the nursery rhyme, sadly. They got some “negative” traits because of that. The kids are quite handy though, as they both got 7 Mechanical skill points from playing at the activity table. Tinkering is Blanche’s One True Hobby and her brother didn’t want to be any worse than his sister at getting skills.

Eudes is Brave, Excitable, and of Star Quality. He also got the extra Clumsy trait for not learning to walk. His hobby is Music&Dance.

Blanche is a Lucky Hydrophobe, and a Perfectionist. She also got an extra Shy trait for not learning to talk.

Blanche wanted a toy for her birthday, so I got the kids a toy oven, since their dad’s One True Hobby is Cuisine, and Blanche already has an activity table for getting Mechanical from. Eudes wanted a game. As they already had a chess table at home, I got them a mahjong table looking like cochon qui rit, which I know is not medieval, but it seems to be wooden, and it has cute pigs and I just couldn’t resist it...

The kids only went to school once this round, on Friday, as they aged up on Thursday evening. They had a bunch of snow fun-related wants after they had come back home. They also both wanted to learn to do homework properly, so their father helped them with that. I don’t think the kids feel neglected and they probably don’t realize this fancy looking lady is not their mother.

At the weekend Boniface was promoted, from Intern to Resident. He brought home 672$ + 1344$. He has terrible working hours now and I don’t think a medieval doctor would be working until after midnight.

They started with 16,898$ and they earned ~4410$. They dug up just a rock.

5000$ − rent.

441$ − tax.

=5450$ − to the Royal Family. The Royal Family have earned 158,200$ in this town so far.

441$ − tithe to the Church (rounded up to 450$). The Church has earned 25,500$ to date.

They ended up with 15,163$.

I was trying to find the Queen’s One True Hobby, but it turned out to be… nothing. I later realized none of her family members had the Predestined Hobby assigned somehow. I am just guessing that’s because I merged their household with the Royal Steward’s to move them into the Castle. I was surprised to find it. I might randomize their interests and perhaps hobbies (basing it slightly on what the Prima Guide suggests – it should be based on Personality points).

Cayetana’s grave was moved to the Church grounds after she had scared her husband and the Queen.

A Detailed List of Club Ideas {The Sims 4}

Is your Sims 4 gameplay getting a little stale? For me, yes.

I was watching a few different Sims-related YouTube channels and I noticed a trend of making your own save file (aka.re-doing every lot and household with your own creations). Since I'm somewhat of a masochist, I decided to do this myself. As of right now I have about 37 lots finished out of a possible 211 (not including vacation worlds and worlds from packs I don't own). It's been a bit of a pain, but I do love the challenge!

With this save file, I'm also doing a complete overhaul of existing clubs from the Get Together pack. To do this, I made a list of all the possible club ideas I could think of and wanted to share them!

*QUICK NOTE: Many of these clubs could potentially be combined, but if I were to list out every combination it would take forever, haha.*

AGE-RELATED

CLIQUES: For teens. Make a few different clubs like the "Jocks", the "Rebels", the "Popular Kids", the "Band Kids", etc. Have certain ones rival others to add a little spice and drama! You could even have rival club members fall for each other. If you're feeling ambitious, build a High School and give them each their own club room to hangout in. Lots of possibilities!

EMPTY NESTERS: For adults whose children have moved out. This one was actually inspired by one of the small groups at my church! It's great for Sims who are too old to hang out with "youngsters" but too young to be "elderly". A rooftop bar with live music or meeting at a club member's house would be a great hangout.

OLD TIMERS: For elders. A nice way to incorporate elders into your gameplay! Have them perform activities like cross-stitching, knitting, baking, play cards, etc. I recommend building a community center for their hangout!

SCOUTS: For children and teens. You can do Boy/Girl Scouts or create a co-ed group and have them do some basic outdoor activities. If you want to take it a step further, have the Sims take up the Scouts as their after-school activity and let their actions in the club count toward their badges! I recommend their hangout be the local park.

STUDY GROUP: For children, teens, and college students. A great way for the younger generations to socialize while also learning some skills and doing homework! Ideal hangout spaces would be a library or any club member's house.

BUSINESS

This one is a bit different. Since I'm not the biggest fan of the retail and restaurant mechanics, I decided that if I wanted my own company or small business, I'd make it into a club. Here is an example...

I wanted a Sim to be the owner of a small game development company, but I didn't want him to be in the Tech or Freelancer Programmer career. Instead, I registered the Sim with the Ministry of Labor as "Owner of [insert company name]" (or just "Game Developer") and created a club where programming was the main activity and him and his team would work on making video games and mobile apps.

You can even do this for your retail stores! Have the club members come over to help you make merchandise... just please remember to "pay" your staff somehow :)

Also, do remember that if it can't be physically created (like a painting or woodwork) then you may not get the chance to sell it yourself. However, I believe having club members as "staff" makes the experience feel a little more immersive!

Some possible ideas:

Florist (selling flowers or flower arrangements)

Game Development (making games and mobile apps)

Music Production Studio (songwriting and media production)

Publishing Company (writing and publishing books)

CLASSES

Make the most out of your clubs by turning them into classes! You can have it be for teens and children only, or you can have adult versions too! You could do it with any skill in the game, but here are a examples:

Acting

Cooking

Dancing

Painting

Piano/Guitar/Singing/Violin Lessons

Programming

Writing

And more!

If you love building, a great location for these types of clubs would be a small community college and have a different classroom for each skill!

HOBBY CLUBS

BOWLING CLUB: If you have Bowling Night, make your own bowling team! Even better, since you can choose a club's outfit you can give them their own team uniform.

DIVE CLUB: Perfect for all your Sims who love warm weather and swimming!

E-SPORTS TEAM: If you would like your Sim to be a professional gamer on the side (and not as a career), create a club with your own E-Sports team! If you want to take this idea to the max, I recommend the Get Famous pack for the fame aspect.

EXCAVATION TEAM: If you were like me and grew up watching Indiana Jones and/or The Mummy movies (Brendan Frasier > Tom Cruise) then the idea of going on an archeological dig is fascinating. Now you can have your own "team" and set off to Selvadorada to find treasure! Excavate, do research, and read are a few activities you can add to the club. Jungle Adventure required.

FASHION CLUB: No skills really for this, just a passion for fashion! You could also restrict this to Sims in the Style Influencer career too to make it a bit more exclusive.

FILM CLUB: For Sims who love film! Movie Hangout is highly recommended as it provides movies for your Sim to watch and a popcorn machine! In my game, their hangout spot is the local movie theater.

FOOD CLUB: For Cooking, Gourmet Cooking, and/or Baking (and Mixology if you want). Since Sims hate it when you cook in their kitchen, I recommend having them go to community lot to meet. Currently I'm working on a culinary school for my save file!

GARDENING CLUB: For Sims to practice Gardening and Herbalism. Outdoor Retreat is recommended for Herbalism skill but not necessary. I do recommend either using one of the existing parks or creating your own community garden for this club.

KARAOKE CLUB: For Sims who love to sing! City Living is required for this to work, but if you have a Sim who is aspiring to be a famous singer, this is a great way to get started!

PUBLIC SPEAKING: For Charisma (and Research & Debate if you have Discover University). There are many public speaking groups outside of a school setting, so it doesn't have to be limited to just students! I recommend a library setting for this type of hangout, but it could easily be in a Sim's home.

WELLNESS CLUB: For Sims who are seeking inner peace and a healthier lifestyle, this club is perfect. Spa activities, yoga, and meditation are some of the activities you can do! Spa Day required.

WINTER ACTIVITY CLUB: For Sims who love Ice Skating, Skiing, Snowboarding, and other winter activities. Snowy Escape and Seasons are recommended for this type of club. Their main hangout is the onsen in Mt. Komorebi as it provides quick access to the slopes!

MISCELLANEOUS CLUBS

ACTIVIST GROUP: These Sims want to make a difference in the world! They can perform conservation activities, give speeches, and debate. Island Living and/or City Living are required for this club. Discover University is recommended, but not necessarily required.

BAND: It's not gonna sound pretty when they're all playing at the same time, but you can have a few members who play a different instruments to have your own band! The Sim version of my brother (who IRL is a great musician) is the leader of the band Fleetwoob Smac. City Living recommended for Singing skill.

BASKETBALL TEAM: If you have City Living, you can create your own basketball team! Sure, they can't play actual matches, but it's a great way to level up the Fitness skill while socializing. For an easy hangout, I recommend a small outdoor basketball court that'd you'd find at your local park. If you want to be ambitious, build a Rec Center or a Stadium/Arena! I built an arena and, while it is by no means a masterpiece, it adds a bit of realism.

BOOK CLUB: Have a group of Bookworms meet up at the local library to discuss their favorite books! You could also add "Drink coffee" and "Write" to your club's activities to add a little more depth.

INFLUENCER CLUB: With Simstagram being the dominate social media site, there will - of course - the Sims who make a living from it! Have the club members seek to build their following through posting pictures on Simstagram and recording videos. I strongly recommend Get Famous as well as Moschino Stuff and/or Get to Work for backdrops and such.

POP GROUP: Have a group of aspiring pop stars to come together to create their own music act! The perfect pack combo for this is Get Famous and City Living. Sample activities are singing, dancing, playing instruments, and media production.

SPELLCASTERS: Honestly? A great way to level up your Spellcaster Sim. Activities like "Use Cauldron" and "Cast Spells" will contribute to your progress, and cross a few tasks off of spellcaster-related aspirations. Realm of Magic required.

VAMPIRE CULT: Like the Spellcaster club, a club full of Vampires is a great way to level up the ranks. What makes this really fun is you can choose your club's reputation beforehand: you can make the Vampires feared and disliked with the "Infamous Club" perk, or make them adored with the "Popular Club" perk. Vampires required.

WINE MOMS: Every town has a group of wine moms. If you want to add a bit of realism to your gameplay get Clara Bjergsen, Eliza Pancakes, and Nancy Landgraab together once a week to complain about their life and mix drinks!

DAD GROUP: I have yet to come up with a catchy name for this club but essentially, it's the opposite of the Wine Moms group. Recommended activities are grilling, fishing, playing horseshoes, and watching TV!

FINAL IDEA: BE SILLY

I'm not kidding, be as ridiculous as you want! You want a club where the requirement is a Five Star Celebrity status and their only activity is "All things grilled cheese"? Do it! Unless you're streaming your gameplay, nobody's gonna see it so you might as well have a little fun!

CLUB NAMES

Naming things can be difficult. Luckily, I don't have too much of an issue because I love puns and memes, and most of my club names are based off of puns and memes. Here are just a few:

Alley Cats: My bowling club.

Mic Droppers: My karaoke club.

On Pointe: My dance club.

Puns & Roses: My club of comedians.

Sharpshooters: My photography club.

Tech, Mate: My programming/gaming club.

The Mages Guild: My Spellcaster club that is based off The Elder Scrolls. The description is this: "Have you heard? The Mages Guild is recruiting again!"

Weed Whackers: My gardening/herbalism club.

my othwr cfriend msged me this morning on dizzy n it made merlly happy cos he acc show up in my dream last night )): n it wa sa happy dream , so then for him to send me a dm saying “wakey wakey!” n i see it in the morning , i feel is coincidence ! 😵😮😮

i also feel like agedre n half regressing has helped talk to myself more positively. its very difficult to talk to myself like a friend so when i talk to myself like an encouraging sweet parent, it works. im more softer and i embrace my sensitivity, and i think this in all will help me ! of course i still feel the shame of it not being the norm or still have my negative intrusive thoughts, and i know my intrusive thoughts arent something i can necessarily 'delete' or 'remove,' and are something to tame, though i think agedre is a big baby step towards a healthy coping mechanism, as even so back then my self-talk has never been very positive, and even when i was positive, id beat myself down constantly (and still struggle with this), and that positivity would lean towards toxic. im proud of myself. <3

anyway, i did lot selfcare and followd my goodnote scheduule , and tmr i make to do list for homeworks. tmr i shoul make foods, b productiv, and sleep on time !!!! hav good day diary, muwah muwah 💕

oooh this is v interesting lemme at em

did some searches cause there's a lot of stuff out there for colleges, but i don't know a whole lot. these might be really general!

barring anything in-game this is just modern stuff i think theyd appreciate

- woods finds studies about past wars, and history interesting in general. while he takes an interest in weaponry he does find the human factor of such studies a little more suited to him. he likes learning about how the people thought, how they got through it all, why they became part of these acts. Not the best at studying, but when he really is into it he'll get it down quick.

- adler is a criminal psychology or criminal justice dude. he likes to know how people, especially dangerous ones, tick. that's mostly what he focuses on. courses on social sciences are considered as well, but he focuses less on this. studies as much as necessary for everything, but his memory is sharp enough that sometimes a review of notes is all he needs.

- sims is drawn to mechanical engineering and logistics. it's good to understand the driving force of things, how it's all working together to be cohesive. he works hard, but times it all well enough that he's just barely balancing his life to be a good schedule. he might be irritated if assignment dates are changed last minute, but still finds a way to make it work out well.

- mason finds himself going for history-based studies along with woods, but eventually gets a bit derailed and sucked into computer sciences. he attends a cooking class if he can but woods thinks he hasn't improved. mason's studies go alright, but his mind can wander, so he'll ask someone to be nearby so he can talk about his notes to help get it all down.

- park is adamant on holistic anthropology, studying humans as a whole. she excels in group projects, but prefers to do her studying personally or with a close friend. aces tests, aces homework. she uses highlighters a lot and it helps her to use the different colors.

- lazar goes for a field in things similar to sims, like an engineering or an architecture vibe. mechanical things he finds easier to understand. he's not stupid, he allows his mind to roam while he takes things apart or puts them back together, because he likes where it goes. he's not as intense about his studies as the others, but he takes them as seriously as he must. bad at remembering to study, but he always tries his best on the tests.

Here’s my contribution to @starrynightdeancas 2k follower celebration, part one! The prompt was beach, which sparked the idea of Dean and Cas retiring to a beach cottage together. I built it in the sims, and provided a list of headcanons to go along with it. Hope you enjoy!

Dean and Cas buy a broken down, overgrown old house on the coast of Maine

They immediately set about fixing it up

They leave some of the ivy on the house because Cas thinks it’s pretty (Dean agrees)

After restoring the plumbing and electricity, they finally spend a day assembling their bed in the bedroom, surrounded by the few suitcases that hold their entire lives

The master bedroom is bigger than they thought from the pictures on the internet

So they fill it with their bed, their books, their mementos, and all the things they never thought they’d have a home for

There’s a little fireplace in the bedroom. Cas and Dean sit on a sofa at the end of their bed and listen to the sounds of the fire.

They have a chess table, on Cas’ insistence. He teaches Dean how to play, and Dean proves to be quite good.

The space around the base of the stairs is converted into an office and library for Cas who gets a job at the nearby town’s community college where he teaches a class on folklore and history

(The students have an abundance of theories about who he and his partner? husband? actually are. They’ve come closer than they’d expect.)

The bookshelves easily fill themselves with books Sam finds and sends to them for safekeeping and what they took from the bunker

His desk is cluttered and always stacked with books and his laptop, as well as a few abandoned coffee mugs

A map hangs on the wall, pinned with places they want to visit and rugs are scattered across the floor

Cas also takes over the porch, lining the side of the house with a row of mismatched pots for plants, a bee hive, and a gardening table and storage

(Dean gets a woodworking table just off the front steps)

They convert a downstairs bedroom into a bar for Dean, which he decorates with mementos from their family all over America and a big sign converted into a light that bathes the room in warm light

There’s a Stanford flag Sam sent him from where he had gotten a job, the bar is covered in flags and stickers from other hunters that stopped by, and a pride flag Cas proudly presented him after they got home from their first pride parade. A pile of paintings Jack made at school in his art class sit on display in the corner, and behind them, the wall is covered in photos of all the hunters they could find.

The barstools are mismatched but lovingly curated, collected from yard sales and thrift stores

Dean loves spending time in there, stealing kisses from Cas and practicing making drinks in his free time off from his mechanic job

The kitchen has dingy white cabinets with blue countertops that clash perfectly with the yellow paint. Cas adores it. Dean insists on repainting everything, but Cas makes him keep the colour scheme. The stove and fridge are the same blue as the countertops, which Dean chooses while Cas is at work as a surprise. Cas adores them too.

Sam buys them a fancy coffee maker when he gets a promotion. They fight over how to work it (and end up kissing against the counter)

Jack paints them a five-piece painting to match the blues in the kitchen. They display it proudly and always show it off to their guests

They buy the comfiest sofas they can find, and Dean builds an end table to match. He finds an old trunk and turns it into a tv table. Jack helps them pick out a TV and video game system. He invites his friends over whenever he can and they all adore visiting.

They have a big brick fireplace that’s perfect to curl up in front of when their old injuries are acting up. They play board games on rainy days and roast s’mores with Jack.

The entryway has hooks for Cas’ trenchcoat and gardening hat, across from an old globe that Cas likes to spin around as he tells stories about the places he’s seen

They keep two old rocking chairs there, where Dean and Cas sit on the harder nights, holding hands and simply being

The downstairs bathroom, Dean and Cas agree, is the superior bathroom. With its big tub (large enough for two) and its cheerful yellow curtain, they are rather fond of spending time there together. They have a bath mat shaped like a flower.

The upstairs bathroom is a bit more cramped and less colorful, but works beautifully. They keep the bathrobes Eileen bought them up there. Cas’ is the same colour as his trenchcoat.

The upstairs hallway is a perfect reading nook, from its comfy armchairs to the pile of cushions Jack likes to do his homework curled up on. Dean finds the armchair Cas chose extraordinarily ugly, but he looked so happy at the sight of it that he doesn’t say anything.

Jack’s easel is next to the bookshelf in the hallway. He loves to paint at strange times of the day and night - strange, ethereal images inspired by his life

Jack’s bedroom is cheerful, full of haphazardly pinned posters of his interests and soft blankets for when he gets overwhelmed. He has a gigantic stuffed dragon he hugs and talks to, and when his friends playfully tease him, he only grins and says “sometimes you’ve got to be a kid, you know?”

He has a pink and black gaming chair and a fancy desk setup for gaming with his friends. His desk lamp has planets on it, and it sits opposite the microphone.

He keeps makeup and nail polish on his dresser. No one dares tease him.

They’re happy. They’re really, truly, happy.

                                     SIMDROIDS MODPACK

It’s finally here! My first mod for TS4!! I’ve poured about 70+ hours worth of blood, sweat, and tears into this bad boy over the past month and it’s fiiiinally done.  This is a mod that I plan to continue to update with new content in the future, mostly in regards to the gameplay aspect of the mod itself.

                                                WHAT IS IT?

Simdroids

 is a traits based mod that gives you something a little different to play with, with the options of creating Simdroids to live amongst your sims. 

The mod consists of one trait, the

T-4L0S

 trait (under lifestyle) that is the basic model of every Simdroid. Once in game, you Simdroid can be programmed to one of 4 different modes; Perfect Partner, Celebdroid, Homemaker, and Manual Laborer.

Basic Model

- The basic T-4L0S model is an all-rounder designed to make your Sims lives easier. They will not experience need decay and will learn all skills at an accelerated rate.

Perfect Partner

- This mode will give your Simdroid whims and interactions that will help them to become a perfect match for your Sim. They will be able to learn skills such as charisma much faster. Due to the social nature of this setting, Perfect Partner Simdroids will experience social need decay. 

Celebdroid

- These Droids make perfect celebrities, as they learn all musical and theatrical skills much faster. Their whims will be related to all things creative! They also experience social decay!

Homemaker

- When programmed to Homemaker, Simdroids will become a perfect live-in Nanny! They will take care of children and cook meals for the family, great for when the parents are working late. Their whims will relate to children and taking care of the home. Homemaker Droids do not experience need decay. 

Manual Laborer Droid

- These droids will take care of all handy issues around the house and excel at growing a garden. They will learn all handy and gardening related skills at an accelerated rate. Manual Laborer Droids do not experience need decay.

Childroid

- Due to overwhelming response, I implemented a separate trait for toddlers, children and teens, called ‘Perfect Child’. They learn at an accelerated rate and will get whims related to completing homework and learning skills. Childroids will experience energy decay.

They have an option in their social interactions to turn both their hunger and temperature sensitivity on/off.

**Due to technically being a machine, Simdroids do not age. (You can cheat age them up though)

Every programmable option comes with custom moodlets and interactions!

Simdroids will always have a +10 fine moodlet, to keep them at a consistent ‘emotionless’ state. 

                                                DEVIANCY

Sometimes your Simdroids will see or interact with something that will trigger an error in their coding, an ‘emotion’!

If you decide it is time for your Simdroid to deviate, and become a fully emotional being, then take your Simdroid to any lot with my custom ‘Simdroid Safe Haven’ lot buff. 

Any Simdroid on the lot will get a buff that unlocks a social interaction to begin the first stages of their deviancy. Follow the buffs from there to complete the mini-quest!

Deviancy is supposed to be played slowly, to replicate more of a roleplay experience, so just be warned that if you complete all the stages quickly, the buffs will all stack on each other!

After deviating, all Deviants can trigger the first stage of Deviancy in other Simdroids, just with an interaction!

***Need to knows***

- Needs WILL go down if engaging in an interaction that puts a need decay multiplier on the sim. For example, working out will lower hygiene. I hope to change this in an update. - Childroids cannot currently deviate, if people want this, I will put this in an update!

- After all is said and done, this is my first mod, there are probably going to be a few rough edges but I’ve tried to get everything in tip top shape. Please let me know if you experience a game breaking bug or smthn
